Last updated: July 11, 2026
1. Overview
These Terms of Service govern all website design, development, and related services provided by Northsite. By purchasing or using our services, the client agrees to these Terms.
2. Services Provided
Northsite provides digital services including:
- Website design and development
- Website setup and customization
- Basic SEO optimization
- Integration of third-party tools and platforms (when applicable)
All services are delivered digitally unless otherwise agreed in writing.
3. Payments
- Full payment or an agreed deposit is required before work begins.
- All payments are non-refundable once work has started.
- Any work requested outside the original package scope may require additional payment.
4. Delivery Timeline
- Project timelines are discussed and agreed upon before work begins.
- Delays caused by missing content, delayed communication, or late feedback from the client may extend delivery time.
5. Revisions
- Each package includes a specific number of revisions depending on the selected service.
- Additional revisions beyond the included amount may incur extra charges.
- Revisions must remain within the original project scope.
6. Website Ownership & Rights
- Northsite retains ownership of the underlying code, structure, and design framework until full payment is received.
- Once full payment has been completed, the client is granted full usage rights to the final delivered website for their business purposes.
- The client owns and controls their domain at all times — domains are purchased directly by the client through a third-party registrar (e.g., Namecheap, GoDaddy) and remain registered in the client's name.
- Northsite does not host, register, or hold ownership of client domains. We only assist with connecting and configuring the domain to the website.
Northsite reserves the right to:
- Display completed work in our portfolio
- Use the project for marketing, demonstrations, or promotional purposes
- Reuse general design systems, components, and non-client-specific elements in future projects
7. Client Responsibilities
Clients agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information when requested
- Supply any required content (text, images, logos) in a timely manner
- Ensure they have legal rights to any materials they provide
Northsite is not responsible for legal issues arising from client-supplied content.
8. SEO & Performance Disclaimer
- Basic SEO setup improves visibility and structure but does not guarantee search engine rankings or traffic results.
- Website performance depends on external factors such as hosting providers, content quality, and search engine algorithms.
9. Cancellations & Refunds
- Due to the digital nature of services, no refunds are issued once work has started.
- If a project is canceled by the client, any completed work may be delivered or retained at Northsite's discretion.
10. Limitation of Liability
Northsite is not responsible for:
- Loss of revenue, data, or business opportunities
- Issues caused by third-party services (e.g., Shopify, hosting, domain providers)
- Misuse, alteration, or damage to the website after delivery
11. Changes to Terms
Northsite reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any updated Terms.
